Chanel’s Cruise 2019 collection was named La Pausa, after Gabrielle Chanel’s summer house in the South of France. The designer tackled the nautical theme with his usual verve, blending relaxed sportswear silhouettes with elements of Sixties pop such as miniskirts and white Mary Janes.

For his SS’19 collection Tom Ford designed skirt suits cinched with corsets, men’s jackets on women cut in silk satin and caped jersey gowns. All of his creations came in black, white, skin-tone hues, and palest lilac.

For Spring Scervino reworked classic men’s outerwear staples with an imaginative flair such as a masculine striped shirt which was worn with a midi ballerina skirt in fluffy tulle. The designer mixed up his textures and materials, too, crafting a trench from featherweight black leather lace, and slipping a sequin-covered sweater under a gray tailored suit.

Anna Molinari’s designs for SS’19 were inspired by streetwear and included distressed denim with patches of floral silk, python-print crop tops and trench coats. Almost all the pieces were layered over neon orange or green Blumarine-branded bicycle shorts and sports bras.
